I am sure that you have heard me write about this particular subject before but it is my job to look out for our customers. Before it gets too hot I want to remind you to get your air conditioning system checked out by our technicians. This will be an investment that can pay off in the long run and give you peace of mind when it gets over 100 degrees. If you have lived in Lubbock as long as I have, you know that reaching the 100 degree mark is a very real possibility.
"Why do you bring this up every year?"
When the temperature goes up and it will in West Texas, I want you to be comfortable. Our Comfort Customers can testify that they do not have to worry because they already know that their system is ready to go. 90 percent of our "No AC" calls during the summer months are customers that have not had their system checked and something has gone wrong that could have been prevented.
"What does the technician do?"
When I ran service full-time I did many service and checks. You would not believe the problems that can be prevented just by opening the unit. I am looking for pitted contactors, proper amp draw on the compressor, clean air filters, and many other things. The average check takes about an hour and can save you lots of money by having your system checked twice a year.

Do you think having your system checked twice a year is important? If no, why not?

Do you have a room that is always too hot or cold? A Mr. Slim unit may be the perfect way to make rooms in your home or workplace as comfortable as possible. These pictures are from a recent install that was done by Sinclair. What to see more pictures from this install? Go to our Facebook page.
What does split-ductless mean?
Mr. Slim systems have 3 major components: an indoor unit, outdoor unit, and remote controller (No duct work). An installation is as simple as mounting the indoor and outdoor units, connecting refrigeration lines, and making a few electrical connections. That's it!
Why should I buy a Mr. Slim system?
Mitsubishi Electric is the industry leader in split-ductless air conditioning technology. They are also some of the quietest units in the industry, easy to use, and reliable. These units are the most effiecient units on the market today.
Where can I put the unit?
This unit is capable of mounting on a plaster wall, sheet rock wall(with studs), and brick facade, so there is no need to compromise the integrity of the home or office. If you have an older home and you have hot or cold spots, this system might be for you!
Federal Tax Credit and Manufacturer's Comfort Rebate:
For Mitsubishi Electric HVAC split heat-pump systems, this means 30 percent of the cost of heat pump installation including equipment, materials and labor. The tax credit was effective February 17, 2009 after President Obama signed the new American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (also known as the Stimulus Bill).
To Qualify:
HVAC systems must be installed after February 17, 2009 through the end of 2010.
Split-system heat pumps chosen for installation must achieve the highest CEE Tier
Level of energy efficiency; specifications shown in the table below.
CEE Level: Tier 2
SEER: 15 or higher
EER: 12.5 or higher
HSPF: 8.5 or higher

SLOW COOKER CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS RECIPE
Chicken- I like to use the pre-cooked Rotisserie chicken from Sam’s or the grocery store. FULL of flavor! OR
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cooked
2 T butter
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cream of chicken
1 onion, chopped
Add seasoning to your taste. I use: cumin, parsley, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt and pepper
1 can of low sodium/low fat chicken broth (or water)
If you choose, you can add 2 CANS of mixed veggies (mix of carrots, peas, tiny potatoes, celery) I use ½ of a 16 oz. pkg. of frozen mixed veggies + ¾ c. water
Last, 1 can of LAYERED, (like Hungry Jack flaky) biscuits, quartered.
Place everything but the biscuits into the crock pot. Cover and cook for approximately 4 hours on LOW. About 45 min to an hour before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center. This is a thick mixture which resembles a crust less potpie. Enjoy.
FYI: We are revising the newsletter, so expect something a little different with the next one you see.
Feedback: What do you enjoy about the monthly recipes?

Interested in a TAX CREDIT??
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 made important changes to the homeowner tax credits for specified energy-efficient home improvements. Homeowners who purchase a qualified Rheem tankless water heater between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 are eligible for a tax credit equal to 30% of the full purchase and installation price with a limit of $1,500.00. Twenty-four models qualify for this tax credit. This is the LAST Year that this tax credit is available.
There are also
heating and cooling systems that meet the requirements for this tax credit. For electric heat pumps placed in service between Jan. 1 2009 and Feb. 17 2009, the unit must have an HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) of at least 9, a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio)
ratio of at least 15, and an EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) of at least 13.
For residential heat pumps placed in service after Feb. 17 2009, a split heat pump unit must achieve the highest efficiency tier. The different levels for split heat pumps are 8 HSPF, 14 SEER, and 12EER. Call us at 806-749-2665, comment below, or go to our
help page if you have any questions.
